Welcome to another episode of Shop or Drop where I spend my coin to try products out so you can make a more informed choice before purchasing

Spoiler Alert: I loved it!...well most of it.
I'm assuming this line was a product of Pantene's effort at being inclusive of all hair types and I have to say, I did enjoy most of them. Let's dive in.
The Line
Pantene's website states that "a dedicated team of [Black] PhDs and scientists strived for over ten years to develop a haircare line using innovative technology and superior ingredients formulated specifically for textured hair." There are over 15 products in the line ranging from shampoos, to conditioners, to braid creams, to gels among many others.
I purchased 5 products in total: the Sulfate-free shampoo(CAD 7.97), Leave-on Detangling Milk(CAD 9.97), Curl-Awakening Spray(CAD 9.97), Hydrating Butter Cream,(CAD 9.97) and Intense Hydrating Oil(CAD 9.97).
Pros and Cons
The Sulfate-Free Shampoo
I gave this a 6 out of 10 because its not as clarifying as I generally like my shampoos to be. It lathers up a lot...too much even. I advse using a small amount first as a little goes an extremely long way. I recommend using it as a refresher for your hair; for those wash days when you don't feel you need a deep intensifying cleanse.
One thing I did enjoy about this shampoo is the large amount of SLIP it has!
Alternatives:
The Leave-On Detangling Milk
I gave this an 8.5 out of 10. This was easily one of my favourite products in the line. The slip is amazing and it works as advertised. The only con about it was the fact that it can get a bit sticky which is very unpleasant, but the ease in detangling makes it worth it. I would recommend this product to you if you're on the market for an affordable product for detangling.
The Hydrating Butter Cream
I gave this a 6 out of 10. I was a little disappointed in this product to be quite honest. It was too thick so it made my strands feel too dry for my liking.
Alternatives:
The Curl Awakening Spray
I gave this a 7.5 out of 10. If you're looking for a nice and simple spray to make your hair smell great, this is a great choice. I used this as the Liquid in my LCO method (check out my post on moisture methods if you're confused) while twisting my hair and it felt and smelt great!
The Intensive Hydrating Oil
I gave this a 9 out of 10. I absolutely LOVED it. It's a thick oil but feels super lightweight once you work it into your strands. It worked amazing as a sealant and I would definitely purchase it again. One thing I noticed about this oil, however, is its uncanny resemblance (in terms of scent, feel, and product) to the Aussie Moist Intense Hydration Oil. I don't know who copied who, but somebody plagiarized.
Overall Thoughts
I neglected to mention how AMAZING this line smells! It's like a mix of Hawaiian punch and mango and just tropical vibes. I loved it. Will I be purchasing again? I'm not sure yet, but I do see the curl awakening spray in my future.
